Cassi walked in the Great Hall for a small snack and to get an assignment done. She sighed as she sat down on the bench and grabbed an apple sitting it down on the table. She pulled out her notebook and her pencil and turned through the pages to see where she had left off. It wasn't really an assignment but a story. This past summer she had found out that writing fantasy stories were fun and her being a witch there was an unlimited number of things she could write about.

Kimbree was getting hungry for a snack so she headed to the Great Hall. She sat down and took out her book she had gotten from the library. Since books were her closest friend she found herself caught up in them a lot. As she reached for a snack she knocked her book off the table causing a loud thud. She hoped she didn't disturb anyone. Embarassed she reached down to pick it up.

Cassi jumped slightly at the loud thud and glanced around to see who it had come from. It was a Gryffindor who had a pile of books with her. Cassi didn't recognize her probably because she wasn't it Cassi's year. She didn't know the younger ones of different houses well.

"You alright over there?" Cassi asked the girl from across the hall.

Kimbree looked up started. "I-I'm fine. just knocked over my book. Sorry to disturb you." She rambled. She managed a small smile. She wasn't used to people talking to her.

"It's alright," Cassi smiled. She then got up and went over to the girl. She looked how Cassi used to look before she opened up to talking to other people. Or maybe the girl was just really shy but anyways Cassi was just going go over and say hi.

"My name is Cassi. What's yours?" Cassi asked.

She was surprised that the girl had walked over to her. "My name is Kimbree," she said. She wasn't much of a talker unless it had to do with schoolwork or lessons so it felt strange to just talk normally with someone.

"That's a unique name." Cassi said smiling. Then a silence ensued because Cassi didn't know what to fill it with. She glanced around trying to find something to talk about as she racked her brain with ideas and then her eyes landed on the books and realized she could talk about books with Kimbree.

"So what are you reading?" Cassi asked.

She looked down at her books, "Oh history of magic, History of Hippogriffs, and My potions and D.A.D.A books, I dont really read my D.A.D.A and potion books i just carry them around in case i need them." she said nervously with an unsure laugh.

"Oh...so I take it you like to study?" Cassi smiled. She then glanced over at the potions and smiled. She remembered she had done just okay in potions and it had eaten her up to the core. She wished she had done better in that class but there was nothing she could do now except study harder and try harder in class.

"So which one is your favorite class?" Cassi asked.

'I love Potions and sometimes D.A.D.A. but i like all classes about the same, How about you?" she asked her glad to have someone to talk to.

"I like D.A.D.A. and History of magic. I love learning about the past because if you don't learn from the past how do you expect not to make the same mistake in the present or the future." Cassi smiled.

"In potions which one is your favorite to make?" Cassi asked smiling. She was glad that she was getting the girl to open up bit.

Kimbree smiled at Cassi. "I like making the forgetfulness potion because it was one t-that i learned in my first year. It is also one i know w-well but i am pretty good at making potions. W-what about you?"

"Eh I'm not really good at Potions." Cassi murmured slightly embarrassed. She had never really been good at Potions. It had been one of her weak points in her academics. It saddened her to no end sometimes but she promised herself that she was going to get better this year and succeed in an outstanding and would not be happy with anything below that.

"Oh, well that's ok. Not everyone is great at making potions." She smiled at Cassi. "What are your favorite classes?" She loved what other people had interests in.

(sorry I haven't been on and I've been busy with work, friends, and I just got sick :P)

"Yeah agreed but I want to be really good at potions." Cassi said. She sighed and then thought about her classes. She liked them all except for a rare few.

"I like History of Magic best and Herbology the best..." Cassi said thinking about it.
