A Little Lost, A Little Hesitant

Alex sighed as she checked the documents in her hand and then searched around for someone to ask directions from. It was time for her check up but like usual, at least in her recently acquired memories, she found herself lost in the confusing hallways of St. Mungo's. It wasn't the hallways fault on its own, her lack of attention, constant falls and general dawdling might be a reason for the fact that she couldn't remember the way to her designated Healer. For the third time in a week.

It didn't help that she didn't really want to be here, especially since she never bothered with the Healer's strict guidelines on what she was supposed to do and what she wasn't supposed to do, doing instead exactly what she liked. "Where are all of my exes when I actually need help?!" She muttered as she wandered the hallway, knowing she was on the right floor but other than that, nada.

Alyssa spotted a young woman randomly searching the hallways on the 4th Floor.  She was here to help some people who had oddly gotten attacked by birds, and since Alyssa studied birds, she had volunteered to help.  They hadn't needed her that day, so she had taken a break from that this week and was helping people on the 4th floor.  "Can I help you?" Alyssa asked the woman, who seemed annoyed at something.  Maybe she was just lost. Then again, the floor was for Spell Damage... was she cursed to have no sense of direction or something?

Alex had already surmised that she did not like these forced sessions, so her decision to skip the said lesson, using the convenient excuse of her injury was a perfectly reasonable plan of action. According to her, that is. The only flaw was, she was still lost and as long as she roamed these corridors, there was always a risk that someone might recognize and drag her to her designated healer. Unappealing.

When the voice cut through her balnk staring of one of the walls, she started, swiveling around fast to come face to face to the source of the voice. "Oh. Well....you see I am not lost." That bit was true enough, but Alex knew such a short explanation would never be acceptable so without missing a beat, she smoothly added, throwing in a smile for added measure. ":Can you direct me to the exit, please?"

"Er, sure ma'am right this way." Why did she need to be shown where the exit was if she wasn't lost? Alyssa shrugged away her questions and stepped briskly over to a side corridor. "If you want to take the stairs you can go over here...and if you want to talk to someone who knows this floor better, you should come over here to the main entrance."
