Weakness: Spellcasting (?) CharacteristicsPersonality: Motivated by the desire for education, Sorrow finds himself quite comfortable in the role of a teacher. This way he is able to both keep learning and share his knowledge with others. He is a calm individual with an even-temper; sometimes slow to react unless openly addressed. He is generally optimistic; even foolishly idealistic or at the very least hopeful; although he did have to outgrow his pessimistic and resigned self. He tries to be honest and responsible. He grew up learning control, so in work he is attentive and with other people considerate. In company he is considered a gentleman; courteous and cultured; interactive as a listener and talkative on occasion, if familiar with the other party. Though he rather avoids conflict, he is chivalrous, even reckless when someone dear to him is facing a danger. In new situations he can be quite tense, but tries to keep an open mind. He has an affinity towards the compassionate and unselfish, and tends to stay away from the greedy and self-absorbed. When it comes to his own character and personal information, he is reserved before knowing someone and honest in comfort with them. Although he starts out as traditional, he does go against some of the teachings he acquired in his years; remaining formal to his clan, but freethinking and considerate of a different way of living. He is bi-romantic, with a tendency to be attracted to kindness and gentleness. (Fun fact: born Dec 21, Sorrow is a Sagittarius; but his twin, born Dec 22, is a Capricorn.)
Likes: Sorrow has a great affinity towards earth and everything that comes with it; from an early age he enjoyed working with plants the most. During his years at Hogwarts, he discovered that the Hufflepuff common room offered much in that sense. It was always full of pots of flowers. His favourite place inside the common room was also the soft rug in front of the hearth; he was oddly fascinated by the flames dancing. Nowadays he has made a habit of flitting in the afternoons before class; and taking long walks before dawn and laying himself to sleep.

Sorrow was born into the vampire clan of Grace on December 21 (2084?), an hour before his twin sister, Misery. This made him firstborn in the Head Family, otherwise known as the House of Adair; future Head of House and Clan Leader by birthright; that is, first in line after his father, Lord Adair, current Clan Leader and Head. From the first he was raised under the strict rules of vampire society; and growing up received the traditional education in various fields, including but not limited to: history, herbalism, astronomy and vampire religion. His vampiric abilities developed through exquisite training, carefully guided and closely observed by one of the clan’s specialists; a masked vampire known only as Phantom.
In 2095, Sorrow received a letter of acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was not unheard of that a Grace should be blessed with the gift of magic, though it tended to skip a generation or two. Before Sorrow, his sister and some of their closest cousins, for example, the last Grace belonging to the Head Family that was also a wizard was their great-grandfather, Aodhan, who attended Hogwarts all the way back in 15th century.
At the beginning of his first year Sorrow was placed in Hufflepuff, whereas his sister ended up in Ravenclaw. This was a new situation for the twins who usually did everything from playing and studying to sleeping and bathing together; all of a sudden, their time together was limited to only a couple of hours a day. Despite the extraordinary discipline they were taught at home, the two would sneak out after curfew or even disappear during class at times, just to see one another. With their ability to stick to shadows it was impossible to catch them in the act of prior, but their absence was often noted in the case of latter; and both were scolded, more than once, for skipping class. Although in the years that followed they kept breaking curfew, their attendance record became nearly flawless. Slowly they used to being apart from each other physically; meanwhile their mind-link grew ever stronger.
