PERSONALITY: Avileene is shy, and often likes to be on her own. She's nervous around people because she doesn't know what they are thinking, and that frightens her. She doesn't like what is unknown, which is one reason she is dedicated to reading. She does love her parents, because even though they had made her the way she is, they love her and continue to protect her. Avileene, if she makes any friends, would want friends who understand that she may not like to do certain things, and who won't push her out of her comfort. Avileene can be outgoing, because she loves to smile and laugh and feel safe, but in order to bring that out in her she has to trust who she's speaking with and know them well.

LIKES: childish games (hide and go seek), solitude, quidditch, reading, clouds

DISLIKES: not knowing, pain, taking risks, confined spaces

FEARS: having her hair taken, large crowds, aggressive people

Avileene was born to her mother, Audrey, and her father, Matthew, on December 23rd, two months earlier then her expected due date. Avileene, although small and premature, was a healthy young girl. It was a curious thing, though, when her hair appeared to be made partially of red hair, and partially of feathers.

When Avileene was concieved, her parents had been approached by the ministry. They had promise them great things, not only money, but the safety of their daughter. They said that is Audrey and Matthew allowed them to infuse Audrey's stomach with phoenix blood, they would guarantee a lifetime of providing the necessities to raise the child, such as food and clothing, as well as the protection of their child. The child would grow to be strong, and safe, and would be far more ready for any Wizarding War then anyone else. The fright of a new war had always been on the minds of Audrey and Matthew, and the idea of being able to provide for their child was unthinkable, living in a middle class family of halfbloods.

So, with all considerations having been made, they agreed and allowed for the ministry to add phoenix blood to the mix. What they hadn't been expecting, however, were the results. For years, Avileene grew up in the Ministry, under special care and being monitored. She lived happily on most days, herself and her parents having a home in the ministry, and Avileene free to roam the floors as she pleased. What she hated, though, was when they cut her hair. Due to the nature of the phoenix feathers and their amounted 'luck' that ran through them, the Ministry collected her hair. She hated it, though, because it was a mean man who took her to a small, dark room. He'd pluck her feathered hair, piece by piece, and eventually sent in a women to cut her normal strands of hair, for they contained 'luck' as well. It was terrifying for Avileene, and she'd always run to her mother afterwards. Her parents hadn't expected this, but they couldn't do anything to fight back because they were scared as well.

Avileene was allowed to attend Hogwarts, just as any normal child would. Her parents sent her off in her first year, proud to be raising a Ravenclaw. Audrey had been a Ravenclaw herself, and was extra proud of her little girl for holding onto her individuality and her longing for knowledge. At Hogwarts, for her first two years, Avileene spent most of the time to herself. She didn't go out of her way to befriend many, only one girl in her house. She rarely spoke with any others, and often found herself hiding out in the corners of the common room. Sometimes, she'd walk in and out of the common room, just to solve the riddle. She always had fun with that.

Now, Avileene is reaching her 4th Year at Hogwarts, and although she still isn't very social, her parents have convinced her to be more willing to try to speak with students of other houses and attend more classes.
