Lena slowly came back to her room dropping her trunk in the corner carefully. Making sure not to wake anyone if they were at home. Carefully slipping off her shoes she placed them next to the trunk. It was dark in her room at the moment most likely better to keep it this way. With hope that Lamia was either out or sleeping so soundly she would not hear her even breath. Tip toeing carefully to to the bed sitting on the edge of it. Lena let a hand roam threw her hair thinking about the year and the people she had met so far it almost made her laugh, though she kept it inside. The friends she made almost made life worth living. Laying back gently on the bed her hair sprawled out around her as she stared up at the ceiling. Her eyes shut, falling asleep almost instantly.

The door creaked open, disturbing the many motes of dust.

A small house-elf shuffled in, dragging a broom that was by far, too large for it. A collar swung loosely around it's bony neck, embellished with the number 5.

She made its way towards the Little Miss' bed.

Little miss. Not many elves would use that name as the Mistress wasn't too fond of naming possessions she had deemed unworthy. Yet 5 couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy in its little elf heart.

She hopped up onto the mattress, being extra careful to not soil it with her dirty scabbed feet.

After peeking round warily for any house-elf who wanted to curry favour, 5 took out a small green packet of Muggle sweets that she had procured for the Mistress' girl. It had proved difficult, as a house-elf like her, marked by her fore-fingerless hand, she was closely watched.

5 quietly dropped down and resumed her cleaning duties in the girl's room.

School was out and Lena was frightened more than anything, she could hardly keep what little that was in her stomach down. Every quite and careful foot step threw the house felt heavy on her heart. She didn't know where to go... She hadn't a clue what to do. She just left school, it was her last year and she was nervous. What would she become now? Would she be killed? Forced to join the death eaters? So many questions were floating around in her head as she sat her trunk down quietly. Afraid to wake her, or anyone for that matter. The things that happen in this house were scary, an aura hung over everything making it even hard to breath here.

She needed to calm down. To understand everything... Was... Not going to be okay. She was back in the cold icy grips of that women. Lena wasn't sure even know if she'd make it out alive or even somewhat of the same person. The light started to slowly flicker out of her eyes as she leaned her head in her hands trying to calm down sitting on the old dusty matress. She was going to die here... And no one would ever know

"Welcome back."

Under the doorway, leaned a woman. Her white wispy dress, as well as her silent entrance into the room, gave the effect of a specter . Even her eyes were bloodshot--she was still plagued by nightmares. She could have almost laughed at the girl's naivety. Though the house-elves preferred the girl, they wouldn't ever miss Lena's arrival.

Her words were said monotonously. They were words unfamiliar to her. Though she believed herself to be skilled in magic, Divination...Lamia couldn't ever offer a shred of comfort or warmth.

That time was long gone.

Her green eyes observed the girl.
Lena, her Lena had changed during the past year. Though Lamia's memory of the little Mudblood was vague...Lamia sensed something--Call it a woman's instinct.

Her heart felt like it was in an iron grip, as she slowly began to remind to breath ' inhale.... Exhale....' her head slowly turned to look up at her cluching her hands tightly in her lap.

She wasn't sure what to do or say nodding softly thinking that may be an easy middle for the both of them as she stared back at the wood floor her dark green eyes closed as she whispered back a soft almost fearful hated laugh left her.

" thank you..."

Lamia could easily sense the insincerity of the laugh but chose to ignore it. She wandered further inside the room to the dusty windows.
It was a run-down room, a contrast to the rest of the house. However, it had a view overlooking the hedged maze in front of the manor. Lena should have been pleased.

Her eyes continued to study the girl, trying to pin-point the thing that procured her the many whispers in the back of her mind. She was absent-mindedly rubbing the fabric of the curtains in between her fingers. In comparison to the pure white of her dress, they were yellowed peasant's rags.

"You must be hungry dear," she had finally said after a few moments, "shall I treat you to some dinner?" Though Lamia's smile was warm, her green eyes were cold...calculating, giving the impression that her question was purely rhetorical.

It was.

Her eyes slowly followed her never seeing the women even set a foot inside her door, always just leaving Lena alone until she wanted something... She must want something. Lena took a deep breath knowing whatever would happen she could do nothing of it. Rubbing her arm slowly looking out the window wanting to be anywhere but here.

Her eyes quickly flickered to Lamia a long moment as she slowly looks away from her, this was a trick... Like the rest of them it had to be. Slowly shaking her head no a grimace on her face as she slowly inhaled. " I wouldn't want you to go out of your way... No... Thank you."
