Characteristics:PERSONALITY: Gemma is an honest and sincere person, and she does everything enthusiastically. She's a team player, but she likes being in control rather than following. She tries to keep control of her temper, but often it gets the best of her and she rages on everybody around. Due to things from her childhood and her first three years at Hogwarts, Gemma often seems closed-off, as if she shuts everybody out. She doesn't mean to, but she finds it easier to avoid trouble or being hurt rather than getting into trouble and being hurt.
LIKES: Being with friends, writing stories, reading.
DISLIKES: Homework (she usually rushes it last minute), seeing people close to her being hurt
FEARS: Loosing her friends/father, being expelled/ put on detention
HISTORY:Childhood: Gemma's mum died in childbirth, so all her life its been Gemma, her dad and his various girlfriends, none of which have been permanent. She went to a muggle primary school, where she never really fit in because she was more of a tomboy since she was brought up by her dad. When she recieved the letter to hogwarts, gemma was ecstatic. She always had had an open mind so she wasn't at all surprised or worried about her being able to perform magic, and somehow her dad was cool with it too.
Hogwarts year 1-3: Gemma quickly got lots of friends in her first year at hogwarts, and she felt more at ease here than she had in her muggle school when she was younger. In her second and third years, Gemma started to become more distant from these friends, as she felt left out a lot because of her 'non-existent relationship with a non-existent mother' as one of her friends had once taunted her.
Hogwarts year 4-6: Gemma is currently in her sixth year. She sat her O.W.L.S and recieved outstanding in charms and defense against the dark arts, and to her surprise, transfigurations as well. She recieved exceeds expectations in arithmacy, care of magical creatures, herbology, and history of magic. In study of ancient runes, divination and astronomy she recieved acceptable, while she recieved poor in potions, which she isn't too bothered about because she doesn't like potions. At all. She's learned over the past few years not to close herself off so much, because it makes people think she's stand-offish, but she still tries to be alone. Gemma believes it's her fault her mother is dead, so in her fifth year, she started cutting herself, a secret which she's told no one, and to her knowledge, nobody knows about, not even her dad, who she is really close too.
