PostSubject: May the odds be ever in you favor (Tag: slytherin gang)   Sun Aug 10, 2014 6:18 pm

Spring had finally arrive and everyone was out on the grounds, enjoying a nice spring day. Eleanie was vehemently pleased with that because the last couple of days had been insufferable to say the least. Gossip mongering was at a all time high, dealing with her's and Jett's new found friendship. Rumors flew like wildfire from Jett receiving a blow to his head by a bludger to Eleanie bewitching him with an unforgivable curse to be her friend. She was ready to snap and kill someone, only to be stopped before doing so by a professor, Jett's demeanor or by the disappointment in Kaden's eyes. Today she wanted to be left alone and that meant staying inside the castle and far away from imbeciles as possible.

She found the first empty classroom that was unlocked on the fifth floor and heaved all her books and school supplies onto the center desk. It seemed like the classroom hadn't been used in decades, maybe even century or two. A thick layer of dust, an inch thick to say the least, covered every surface. It was hard to breath through the musty stench and the dust that Eleanie kicked up. She went straight for the window, but that too was rusty with age and didn't want to open. It took her a minute and a few well place curses under her breath as she put her full weight into opening the window, but she got it open, letting the fresh spring air blow in creating a nice cross breeze, since the door was open still. Next she turn her attention to her work station, which was covered in dirt. One thing she got from her mother was she hated filth inside. Grime and dirt outside was fine, after all Eleanie was an outdoor girl at heart, but inside she would have none of that. She worked meticulously until all the dust was gone by the vanishing charm, before she sat down and got to work.

Even though it was just the start of the weekend, her school work seemed to be at an all time high, piling up by the minute, becoming an impossible task to complete. Ms. Reid wanted an essay on ancient wizard battles against the giants. The sub for potions wanted us to write an adaptation for the Forget Me Not potion and how to yield better potency from the herbs used. Don't get Eleanie started with the Headmistress and her charm class. Even thinking about her and the homework she assign just made her blood boil. This all cumulated to an unmanageable mess that she had to do.

She pulled out parchment, an ink bottle and the first book she grabbed, which was Care of Magical Creatures. She almost forgot. She had two and a half feet long essay about unicorns given to her by Ms. Valenta. "Unicorns are stupid," she muttered opening her book to the index to find where in the book unicorns are mention. Eleanie was being childish, but at that moment she didn't really care. She had so much work to get done that she didn't want to do any of it, even though her professors threaten on more than one occasion that she will receive detention or worse if she did not turn in another assignment. She was used to detention, she mockingly said to one of her professors, she forgot which one, that detention was her favorite pass time.

Anthony had been leaning in the door, arms crossed. His muscles fell into place as he did so, his shirt exposing his strong arms as his face was down, his eyes like a cat, watching Eleanie out of the corner of his eyes.

Most people were outside today. Which meant most professors were outside today. Which, in conclusion, meant that there were little inside. Little to see him, to catch him making trouble.

Bored, that's exactly what he had been. Rosa was studying for once in her life because she couldn't get held back. Her parents were up her ass, so she was trying. Anthony was with her, before, but she was just getting annoying, so he left, not wanting to deal with her temper. As for Blaze, well, like hell did he ever know where the boy was. He didn't keep track, and he had his own agenda. It wasn't like he was a babysitter or anything.

So he walked down the halls, and that's how he found himself here, now. The girl was clearly younger than him, and that made her easier prey in his eyes. The younger the better, really. She opened the window, hardly noticing Anthony as he leaned against the door, and went back to open her books. As she looked down, Anthony moved smoothly across the room, his jeans dragging with him as he left his cloak behind, the cloak that he was required to wear during the week. Not that he cared about the rules.

He looked out the window for a moment, before turning and looking at the girl, leaning on the wall.

"Such a nice day outside."

He spoke with a smirk, reaching his arm up and closing the window, locking it, all while looking at the girl, waiting for her reaction to fuel his fire.

Eleanie was so in gross in her studies that she did not realize she was not alone. Only did the figment move from the doorframe did she look up from her textbook. Surprise by the intrusion, her natural reflexes kicked in, sending the chair she was sitting on to topple over as she sprang to her feet. Her wand already in hand, never to far away from her reach. "Did I say you can come in?" She asked with venomous loathing for this man who interrupted her studies. She was berating herself in her head, calling herself stupid for letting him sneak up on her so easily.

The man did not seem perturbed with her reaction, even though her wand was pointed point blank at his chest. He had that wicked glass stare of indifference, that graceful but cold demeanor that would sent even the dementors running to the hills. It gave her the creeps, but she didn't let that show as they stood watching each other; him closing the window with ease, never wavering as he watched her and she weighing her options, trying to figure out what course of action she would do next. "Did I say you can close that?" She couldn't put a name to a face, but she knew he looked familiar, most defiantly a student because she had detention with pretty much ever professor in the school and none of them looked like him.

He stared at her, with her dark eyes, unmoving. He didn't flinch, didn't move, didn't cast a single fright when the girl pulled out her wand. Instead, he let a smirk slide across his face, easy as wate. Clearly she wasn't like the majority of students that he ran into. Not just that she was fighting back, but it was more than clearly against the rules to point a wand at another student, and she didn't seem to care. She had deemed this space hers, when it was anything but. Oh, how much fun he was going to have.

"Oh, little girl thinks she can cast a mighty spell, can she?"

A wand slowly slipped into his hand, dangling easily, his grip just light enough, and yet tight enough. His eyes never left her though, not as he stepped closer and closer to her. His feet were light against the stone floor, hardly a sound being dropped as he made his way across. His wand was flicked through his fingers like a well practiced drummer, only a foot away was when he gripped his dark, black wooded want steady in his hand. Lifting it up, until it was pushing into her skin, just above her chest.

His face didn't move as he spoke, only in ways that his lips had to in order for the words to come. Everything else was still, steady, and quiet. Even his breathing was hardly there as he whispered harshly near her ear.

"I do what I want. You have no say here.”

"Little boy thinks he is clever calling me a little girl."

Like an agile cat on the prowl, every move he made was precise and decisive. One movement flowed into the next, as he closed the distance from twenty feet to ten feet to five to less than a foot away. He made no sound as he approach, as if all the sounds in the universe were absent in this very room. This was his element, his domain, just like the forest and the trees were hers. But did that intimidated Eleanie, hardly. In fact, her adrenaline rushed through her veins. The excitement, the danger, it was what she thrived on. Eleanie could have stopped him at any time. When he closed and lock the window behind him, before he slip his wand from his jean pocket, even now, as he stared at her with those cold, dead eyes of his, she could have stopped him, but where was the fun in that?

The sleek black wand of his was directly leveled with her heart, if she had one. Her red oak wand position just below his Adam's apple. He was much taller than her, which seemed to please him greatly, which forced her to look up at him. Her brown hair cascaded like water falls, over on shoulder, baring her flesh, where the wand hovered. Both wands were steady in each other's hands. Both unyielding, just like their eyes as they waited to see what the other person would do next. It wasn't the first time a wand was pointed at her and it probably wouldn't be her last. Fear never crossed Eleanie's mind as she looked dead center into his dark, almost pitch black eyes of his.

She folded first, reaching up and pushing his wand away from her chest and at the same time, removing her's from his throat. "Put that away before you hurt yourself," she said with the same intensity as her prior words to the boy. If the stand off went on much longer, she would have ruin the man's pretty face with a bombarda charm. And we can't have that, could we.

The girl was very serious, very empowering to herself. And, now, of course Anthony couldn't have any of that happening. He was the one in charge, and he loved making people feel weak, vulnerable, less than who they wanted to be, or who they believed to be. He put them in their place. Which, of course, was below him.

"Oh, I never said I was clever, but I'll take the compliment"

Anthony smirked, eyeing the girl, leaning over her in order to intimidate her, provide his height as power over her smaller, more easily squashed body. He didn't care that her wand was at his throat, he was stronger than her, had better spells than her. And she was a girl, too, so he had even more up on her than that.

"You think I'll hurt myself? I'll show you hurt. Everte Statum!"

He shouted his spell quickly, jumping back, ready for the girl to throw her own spell, if she dared. Hopefully she'd be too scared to, or too busy fumbling for defensive spells.

The boy would be foolish if he thought her yielding was a sign of weakness. Eleanie might have yielded first but she wasn't stupid enough to let her guard down. Before he could finish conjuring his own spell, her spell was already on the tip of her tongue. The stinging hex spiraled out of her wand, bright, white and fierce. The orange light from Everte Statum met her stinging hex in midair, setting off a mini shockwave. She too retreated to avoid the spells, but that wasn't nearly far enough as the light from both spells expanded toppling over desks and tables and sending them to the four corners of the room.

The force of the blow knocked her back. The only thing that cushion her fall was the wall, which sent aches and pains down her body. She slide to the floor, crumple into a heap of the fabric of her clothing, wood chips from the ruin desks and her textbooks and stack of homework now blown to smithereens. It was intense how powerful both spells were. Both of them weren't playing games. Before that light from the combine spell even fizzled out, without getting up from where she laid, she already using another spell.

"Depulso desk!"

Her wand was pointed at the heavy, hardwood Professor's desk that she used earlier, still roughly in good shape. The over large desk did not hover but skidded across the room towards the man. You could hear the grinding of the wood on the stone flooring as it picked up speed, ready to crush the man between the wall and the desk.
