Fleeting Memories and First Meetings {Cazz}

Cazz ran fingers through her hair slightly smiling softly nodding. "Um I left the country... for six months... just traveling trying to figure out what I wanted to to do with my lack of memories.." She slowed down a little walking beside him slowly letting go of his hand. Playing with her fingers slowly deep in though thinking if she should share with him or not.

"I moved by myself, locked up the house and left it. Just... was time for a change of where I was living I guess... Trying to get rid of lingering bad thoughts." She smiled happily looking around hitting the button to cross the street watching the cars pass for a few moments.

"Mary is really super nice! You would like her, shes sorta mothering at times but i think its because shes super worried all the time... but we have a strange, cool relationship." She smiled back up at Landon grinning a little before bumping him, starting to quickly cross the street. "Do you have any close friends?"

“Hey, nothing wrong with a bit of change, and yours seemed to work out just fine. Pretty brave thing for a young girl like you to do, though. Someone's tougher than they look,” Landon said, raising his hand and patting Cazz on the head affectionately. He figured she had some help keeping herself safe during her months of travel, though, locked away in her mind.

The question about friends was unexpected and it caused Landon to look off thoughtfully as they walked. Did he have any close friends? He supposed Mavis was one, or as close as she could be when they dealt in secrets. He had his buddies from the other departments at work; they took him out, fooled around, and laughed about inconsequential things. They were his friends...they were even around before his accident. Or so they claimed. Landon felt bad for doubting them, there was no reason to not believe what they said, and they did seem to know things about him that he had forgotten. Yet sometimes their smiles, and their thoughts, seemed somehow untrue.

“A couple. We mostly pal around after work, that sort of thing. Can't trust too many with my secret identity though, so consider yourself lucky, Miss.” He laughed and winked at her as they continued their way down the comfortably suburban streets.

"Well, if you want to find yourself... and you cant stop people from coming to find you always coming to up get you... I believe the logical thing is to drop off the face of the earth lock up your old house and never... ever come back until your ready." She looked up at him rolling her eyes laughing as she slipped her hands into her pockets drawing swirls on her leg.

"So, no not really Landon?" She smiled softly looking at you slowly rubbing arm lightly feeling a burning as she stared back up at him a few more moments smiling brightly as she slowly looks up at him grinning softly bumping his shoulder whispering. "I don't think your really a secret agent Landon... but I think your afraid to let anyone find out who you are ya know." She smiled softly her scarf gently floating around in the wind as she stopped in front of a very tall building.

How was he supposed to let someone else find out who he was if he wasn't even sure. His mind, his memories...everything was a jumbled mess that he pushed away each day, setting it aside for when he could really look deep and figure it out. That time never came, though, and he knew why. He was scared. He kept it from others because if he started to let others look, well, he would be forced to finally acknowledge his fear.

With a sigh he looked down into Cazz's smiling face and decided if he was ever going to give it a try he might as well start here and now with this girl. “You're a bright girl, aren't you?” He reached out his hand and caught the tip of her scarf blowing in the breeze, running his fingers over the soft fabric absently. “I've got my reasons, but maybe they don't mean much anymore. Like you said; time to move on.”

Landon looked away from her and towards the building they had stopped in front of. He motioned towards it with his head, “This your castle, princess?”

Cazz smiled up at him the sun dancing off her gray eyes as she watched him a few moments, just lost in thoughts of her own. Fleeting like most she had, though all leading back to different questions that made no sense since the first one. Yet it never found the answer, but what was a question with out another question. Clearly she was now getting to ahead of herself as she pulled out of her thoughts quickly looking up at Landon laughing. "Haha, I believe your the first to say that Landon. Everything has a reason, just gotta find out how much the reason is worth... and if your willing to pay the price."

Cazz stopped slightly looking up smiling looking threw her pockets a moment a few things falling out as she pulled out a jumbled set of keys, with different key chains on it keys of all different colors and shapes. "Why yes, yes it is. Thank you for the escort my knight." She did a cruzy smiling brightly looking for the right key now flipping threw each one.

Landon chuckled as he watched Cazz shift through her pockets and keys, looking as disorganized as possible. He could only imagine what the inside of her house looked like. “Not a problem. This place looks pretty huge for one person, though. If you ever need some company to make it a little less so, you know where to find me.”

It was a sincere invitation that Landon spoke. He was more than inclined to spend time with Cazz for she had an easy, comfortable air about her that he found charming. Her words about friendship and moving on had struck a chord within him as well, something that needed to be heard. Perhaps this was the beginning of something new in his life that did not revolve around old, missing periods. Besides, Cazz still have secrets locked away in her mind that Landon craved to explore, if nothing else.

“I'm going to hug you now, so don't spazz out.” He reached out and enfolded her in a friendly embrace, enjoying the warm way she felt next to him. “Thanks for talking with me; I don't know any more about my memories but it was worth meeting you. You're pretty one of a kind.” He let her go with a smile, drawing himself back up to his full height before turning to leave.

“See you later, Miss Cazz.”

Cazz looked up at him nodding softly, it was a pretty big place. It got very lonely at different times. Of the day and the year,she smiled brightly nodding very quickly smiling happily. "I'll keep you too that Landon!"

She laughed softly before hugging him back tightly sighing a little looking up at him, feeling the warmth and comfort flow off him as she smiled up at him. "No thanks for coming to talk to me, I don't usually like meeting new people but... it was great meeting you. So we can be friends!" She looked up at him excitedly turning to her door slipping the key in.

"Bye bye Mister super tall Landon, see you soon." She opened the door to her place shutting it carefully behind her smiling brightly taking off her scarf and coat slipping into her warm home.
