PERSONALITY:Jett is often aloof and arrogant. He doesn't view himself that way, though. He thinks he has much to offer those around him and enjoys helping others, mostly because he feels he should share his knowledge to those who are not as privileged as he. He is charming and a smooth talker, rarely tripping over his words or left without a response. When not around others he can be found with a look of intensity on his face as he sits in front of a book or two full of runes or unsolved mysteries. Jett knows he has the capability to understand and solve things others would overlook. He studies hard in order to maintain his precious intelligence. Overconfidence has been bred into Jett and he usually has the moves to back it up.

LIKES: Jett can't pass up the opportunity to show off his knowledge  because he likes to be seen as a smart, confidant individual. He enjoys when others go out of their way to talk to him or ask him questions. He has a fine taste in what he considers beauty and is drawn towards objects that fit his standards of it. A delicately painted vase, a brilliant sunset over the lake, a girl with a stunning smile; Jett is powerless before them.

DISLIKES: Jett dislikes anyone being rude to him or others. He doesn't deserve that and neither does anyone else.  He finds gestures that make some sort of continuous noise or motion annoying and will not hesitate to ask others to stop doing them. He doesn't like when people overlook small details or fail to pick up on things that should be obvious.


FEARS: Jett is afraid of being ordinary, just another face in the crowd. If his life doesn't become a great adventure or he doesn't discover some shocking secret of the world he will feel like it had no meaning and he had failed. He is worried if he doesn't try his very best, almost obsessively, he will just fade into the background and disappear.

Jett's parents met by chance at Gringrotts. His mother was a full veela, stunningly beautiful and enchanting. His father took one look at her and knew she had to be his. At first his advances were brushed off by the snooty veela but he persisted, following her around and showering her with gifts and tales of adventure. He was a dashing, confidant wizard with flair for the dramatic. Eventually they married and settled down to start a family. Jett was born into a family of over confidant self-absorbed people and grew up being doted upon.

Being half veela, Jett was always an exceedingly handsome child. Everywhere he went people would smile at him and give way to his charms. He never thought of it as manipulating people, but rather as giving them something to feel happy about. If he hadn't been raised to be quite so arrogant he would have realized it was still manipulation. His parents always told him stories of amazing adventures and mysteries that they had been through during the life or read about. Jett was fascinated. As soon as he could read he delved into the books detailing these things and learned as much as he could. He liked to solve puzzles and show others how fast and competent he was at it. His parents would praise him for being such a smart, wonderful child.

Unfortunately because of this he came off a bit strong and a few people at his school thought of him as a prick. Jett just scoffed at their opinions and kept up with his studies and social life. He spent the first five years of his education at Beauxbatons, where his mother had went. He had many friends and enjoyed being there when they asked for help on homework or anything else. Girls seemed to flock to him due to his half-veela blood. He didn't mind one bit. His grades were very good, except for subjects that had to do with living things. He didn't have the patience to learn to care of things properly and instead liked focusing on things that could be proved solidly with no gray middle grounds.

For his sixth year Jett transferred to Hogwarts. His parents had moved to London and they thought it would be easier for Jett to return home during the holidays this way. He wasn't nervous at all about going to a new school. He was sure he would fit right in and win over his new classmates and professors. When it was time for him to be sorted the Sorting Hat deliberated for a moment. He would do well in Ravenclaw due to his study habits and his thirst for knowledge, but his casual manipulations of others would fit in in Slytherin. Ravenclaw was finally decided upon after Jett remembered what his father had said about Slytherin and he thought he would rather be in Ravenclaw.
