Characteristics:

PERSONALITY: It rarely takes long for people to figure out how Gail's mind works. She has simple needs, she's free-spirited, and prefers working with others. A mere desk job never would do for Gail; she hates being cooped up. Good thing too, since she's always on the move. She's lived outside the country more than a few times due to Ministry disputes concerning werewolves. Aside from that, she always grows bored of her living arrangements and often moves about to different homesteads- often being apartments in small towns, preferably near forested regions. Though she is a known werewolf, she's always been resilient in situations where people outwardly hate or fear her. She's kind to others nonetheless, and often bounces back easily with her quirky sense of humor. She'll even joke about her condition, though not many understand the humor like she does. During the full moon, Gail always plans camping trips to far off and secluded areas, where she cannot cause any harm. Rather than caging herself in somewhere, she takes this approach, where she has plenty of space to roam. She never treats her Lycanthropy as a curse, but rather, a gift.

LIKES: Winter Snow, Traveling Abroad, Dueling, Being a Part of a Team

DISLIKES: Dust, Stuffy Air, Summer Heat, Tea, Feeling Isolated

FEARS: The Full Moon

HISTORY:

Growing up, Abigail's parents always made it clear that they hadn't meant to have her. Not because they didn't want her, but because of the risk of her father's werewolf blood posed. Her parents were always in fear of her inheriting the trait, so much so that they were constantly asking forgiveness, until they finally believed she was safe from the Lycanthropy. Abigail always thought it funny, and would often wake up in the mornings and bid her mother farewell by saying, "Still not furry, mum!" before she left for school. And it was true; Abigail was not born with Lycanthropy.

Being a werewolf, Abigail's father often was jumping around employment. He usually got stuck with odd end jobs not worth mentioning- to this day, Abigail can't remember even one job he had during her childhood. Her mother, however, managed the book store in Diagon Alley for as far back as Abigail can remember. Since both her parents were wizards, Abigail was waiting for Hogwarts since birth, so when she got the letter in the mail, she was absolutely ecstatic! Shortly after reaching Hogwarts she was sorted into the house of Hufflepuff.

Her years through Hogwarts went as most any other; she had her strong classes and classes she lacked in. In her case she did well in Defense Against the Dark Arts, and was rubbish at Potions. She also always had the tender care and focus in Care of Magical Creatures to go far in it. She loved getting acquainted with strange and odd creatures of the world, even if that only meant reading about them. And, during her years in school, she was an excellent combatant in the dueling club, which she attended each and every meeting of.

She had her fair share of trouble as well; sneaking out for a midnight snack in the kitchens, pulling pranks on rival houses, disagreeing with professors in the classes she didn't do well in, and so on and so forth. To put it shortly, Abigail was not the 'perfect student'. She had a fun time at Hogwarts though, and made many friends. She had a healthy, plentiful school life. During her fifth year, Abigail earned an Outstanding in Care of Magical Creatures, an Exceeds Expectations in Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Acceptable in Transfiguration and Charms on her OWL's. During her Seventh, she only passed her Defense Against the Dark Arts class, receiving an Acceptable. She was devastated, as she had also wanted to pass her Care of Magical Creatures NEWT. Unfortunately, the stress had gotten to her, and she took the test with little to no sleep, and tanked. The only thing that salvaged the year was the incredible feeling of being free when she graduated.

---
After graduation she planned to stay with her parents until she could find some direction. She had plenty of offers from the Ministry for minor positions, but becoming the Ministry's pup had never been her intention. She spent most of the year taking a break and hanging out with her friends when they had the time to spare. The happiness was short-lived. During the first week of December, Abigail's father came home one day, distraught and shaken. He told her and her mother he'd killed a man during one of his phases; a pureblood wizard with strong ties to the Ministry. Not even two days later, her father was being hauled off to a hearing. The case went on for weeks, but Abigail's father had a friend, one that had known him since they were little, and he was working in her father's defense. He put up a damned good fight too. So much so, that the victim's family were afraid they would lose the case. So afraid they sent Death Eaters to end her father's life.

They'd planned it all so well. Abigail and her family were starting to see some hope in their situation, thought they were almost out of the mess and thought they could soon get on with their lives. They were nearing the next full moon, but after what happened last time, her father had been prepared; had a nice helping of Wolfsbane potion he'd bought off a merchant. It was only one serving, but it would have been enough to keep him in control that night. When he went upstairs to take the potion, though, he couldn't find it. It was gone. He tore the room apart as the clock ticked on. Abigail's mother rushed upstairs shortly after, telling him his time was running out. He had no choice but to flee; he had to get as far away from his family as possible. He fell right into the Death Eater's plans.

He tore out of the house, fleeing into the woods outside, running deeper and deeper into the forest, into the sea of dark trees. Abigail ran after him; her mother tried to stop her, but she shot back, "I can't let him hurt anyone else!" And off she went in hot pursuit of her father. In the woods, she caught up with her father, but she hadn't thought through just what she would do exactly once she'd found him. He moved too fast for her spells to make a hit, and before she could react, he attacked her; his fangs digging into her arm and a big heavy claw raking down her shoulder. She cried out, thinking her father's howl was the last thing she would ever hear. But he was suddenly thrown back, and a handful of wizards came into the night, garbed in dark shadowy robes and masks. They attacked Abigail's father, and chased him farther into the woods.

Meanwhile her mother had called the authorities, and soon the Ministry was on the scene. They were too late though, Abigail's father was dead. The Ministry only chased off the dark wizards before they could finish off the remaining Rimmell family members, and then cleaned up the mess of the aftermath. But Abigail... Abigail had been bitten by the werewolf. One of the more caring Ministry officials, after tending to her wounds, advised her to leave. With the case having gone the way it did and her father now dead, the man told her there may not be a place here for her kind for much longer. He left her there with her mother soon after, just like all the rest.

She and her mother sat in the living room through the whole night, crying for the first few hours, then mourning in silence, a couple times her mother tried to inspect the damage on Abigail's shoulder and arms, but Abigail pushed her away. Finally, as day broke, she told her mother that she was going to leave, and that she should to. The Death Eaters still remained a threat- they might want to come back and finish the job, so her mother had to move. As for Abigail, she fled the country.

---

For months, she was simply on the run, moving from one place to another, running from no one, but not capable of staying anywhere for long. She was afraid of hurting anyone; she wouldn't have been able to forgive herself if she hurt anyone. She made her mistakes, and it took some taking use to, remembering the cycles of the moon and taking proper precautions. One day though, off in a pub in Scandinavia, she heard some people talking about some rumor of a group. The group was said to be made of up entirely of werewolves. These people inflicted with the curse had worked things out with the Norwegian Ministry, and at every full moon, these people were brought somewhere secluded where they could roam and the Ministry could keep an eye on them. She spent weeks looking for them, but they ended up finding her before that. The Norwegian Ministry didn't like to ignore immigrants coming into their boundaries, but when they found out she was a werewolf, they contacted the pack, assuming she had come in search of them.

They brought her into their little family, openly welcoming her as the new pup. They lived normal lives, had jobs, hung out at the pub. It was nice, certainly a breathe of fresh air after months of running away from everyone. And near every full moon, they all went out and camped deep in the woods, hundreds of miles away from any form of civilization. Sometimes they even went early, or stayed longer than they needed, just having a fun time in the good ol' out doors. Over time, the pack started calling her by Gail, as it sounded tougher than Abigail or Abby.

The pack taught her how to laugh again, how to ignore the people who were against their kind, and how to finally accept her Lycanthropy. When she was certain she could handle things on her own, five years later, she returned to Britain to find her mother, who now works at a public library in London, away from Wizarding life. Since then, Gail has gone about her days settling back in, moving from apartment to apartment every now and then when she grows bored, and continuing the tradition of camping trips, on her own.

MISCELLANEOUS: Though Gail has gained many scratches and scars since becoming a werewolf, they almost always clear up and heal in a few days. The only scars that have stayed after all this time are those she received from her father. When her father attacked her, he gripped her right arm between his sharp teeth, and was attempting to push her torso away so as to tear apart her limbs. This is why she has the deep scars of teeth marks down her arm, and claw marks down her left shoulder.

Other Characters: Madison Reid, Dein Edrins, Carling F. Wright, Shadow Grace, and Emma Hawkwood.

This character will be taking the place of Lorena Slenvaul.
