Lamia was sat against the front door, an elf hand nailed beside her head, into the wood. She was breathing heavily, her head was tucked away in between her knees.

Despite her killing the girl, she was still humiliated, it was ebbing away on the inside of her. She was on the verge of tearing the whole place down, it angered her...she built herself up to be powerful, only to be saved by a mere muggle infant. She gritted her teeth and picked up her wand. With the blade pressed against her temples, she muttered one word.

Number three was on her knees scrubbing manically at the marble tiles.

"If Mistress found that Ro-" she halted herself before she said it "that Three has been a naughty lazy elf..." her free hand clutched at one of the fingers that hung on a chain round her neck, the two missing gaps on her right hand was proof of her punishment, after ten punishments, she would be deemed useless and will be dumped in the maze.

The House elf hastily returned to scrubbing casting the few glances to the main door. "The young Mistress'll be coming back soon" it gulped, the fear of witches still remained in her. "Scrub scrub...must scrub" Three laughed uneasily as she continued her work
